Olga Ivanova (Patricia’s friend) Olga Ivanova (Patricia’s friend) accuses the matrons Patricia of disappearing. When she tries to escape from the school, she’s locked in a room. Susie dances for Madame Blanc while Olga is injured to the point of death. The matrons nab Olga with hooks of a large size and then drag her away. They choose Mother Helena Markos (an aging witch who was long the leader of the coven) as their chief. The matrons then plot to make use of Susie to serve as Markos’ host body. Miss Griffith is a sly matron, commits suicide shortly afterward.
Blanc is Susie’s protegee, and gives Susie the lead part in the performance of Volks. Klemperer is, however, concerned about the matrons and demands Sara for her help to look into Patricia’s journal. Sara discovers a secret corridor which connects to the Mutterhaus which is where the coven has its rituals. While they look into the disappearance of Patricia Sara, she is able to take one of the massive hooks and offers Klemperer the hook. Sara goes back to the sanctum on first night of the Volk and discovers Patricia’s body rotting and decomposing. The matrons find her prior to the show and discover gaps in the floor. Sara breaks her leg. Sara is seen halfway through the show and performs her part in a state of hypnosis. But she falls down in pain shortly after the conclusion of the show.
The dancers, with the exception of Susie all dancers, except Susie, are put in an euphoria while eating with matrons during the party. Klemperer snatches the hook and the belongings of Patricia and goes to his Dacha in East Germany where the two meet Anke his wife who is missing during the time of war. Anke informs Anke that her wife left to Bristol to try to flee the Nazis. They travel together, and eventually traverse the frontier to West Berlin. Klemperer finds out that Anke is missing and was taken to the location of the company to celebrate the witches’ Sabbath. He is later surrounded and killed by the matrons. Susie is brought to the Mutterhaus where she meets Klemperer as well as the matrons. Blanc is the one to intervene in the ceremony by taking out Sara, Patricia, and Olga. Enraged, Markos attacks Blanc, nearly decapitating her. Susie seems to be able to accept her fate as Markos new vessel. But Mother Suspiriorum seems to be in the position of removing the company of corrupt Markos. Susie invokes the death of Markos and takes out Markos as well as her faithful supporters.
While Sara, Patricia, and Olga stroll peacefully along Susie’s side while matrons and students dance, Sara, Patricia and Olga are also abandoned. Klemperer is released and in a state of confusion. Miss Vendegast discovers Blanc alive, and announces Blanc’s disappearance. Susie is now Mother Suspiriorum visits Klemperer and apologizes for her behavior. Following the time that Anke was taken prisoner by the Nazis and she confesses that Anke passed away in Theresienstadt. Mother Suspiriorum erases the memories of Anke prior to his departure and causes him to suffer seizures. The present residents of the dacha do not see a carving of Klemperer or Anke’s initials.
